Pure Ceylon White 'Silver Needle' tea
Loose leaf · From Ruhuna (a.k.a. Southern or Matara) region
Ceylon Ivory is the treasured treat that is pure Ceylon White tea and is crafted with the utmost care: it is hand-plucked, naturally withered and gently hand-rolled before firing. Made from the first leaf of a pea shoot from the clone, Ceylon Ivory is fresh, light, mild, and nutty in flavour, and appears pale yellow in cloud. This tea offers a pure drinking experience that is delicate in both flavour and aroma.

Thanks for the samples, Teakruthi! These leaves must be the largest that I've seen even in a white tea! Impossible to measure with a teaspoon so I just threw a ton of leaves in the infuser. Probably a small handful in my smallish hand. I've tried this a couple times using different parameters. The scent of the dry leaves is like the sweetest pile of hay in sunshine. The flavor is very light, so light it is tough to describe: light, full of minerals, smooth. It's like a blank slate of a tea, more than most teas I've tried, which can be a good thing or not depending what you're in the mood to drink. If you are simply craving a lovely white tea, this is a good one to try. I had to steep it the way Teakruthi recommended, and really this is impossible to oversteep. Steep #1 // 39 minutes after boiling // 2 minute steep Steep #2 // 16 minutes after boiling // 1 1/2 min Second steep session: Steep #1 // 28 minutes after boiling // 2 minute steep Steep #2 // 16 minutes after boiling // 5 minute steep
This is the best white tea I’ve ever had
This tea has a nice, mildly savory character. I taste wheat and nut, and the tea remains pleasant throughout many steeps.
I need less than 10 mins to start enjoying the winter day it doesn't matter the temperature or wind outside. The White Tee of Ceylon is delicious, free of artificial substances by production (my own judgment), and healthy by nature. It is also reasonably priced. Enjoy Ceylon Ivory anytime!
This is a fantastic tea. I was very impressed with the overall tasting and am particularly struck by the flavor profile - the leaves come across heavily perfumed and sweet but also with more earthy qualities as well. The taste is balanced and full and the brewed leaves are extremely sweet and floral smelling. A great tea!
