Health and safety is our top priority and our facilities have been thoroughly disinfected over the past week. Further, we’ve modified our day-to-day operations to adopt the latest recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Sri Lankan government.
As you know, our home — where our teas are sourced from — is Sri Lanka. To date, Sri Lanka has managed to contain the spread of COVID-19 to a few hundred cases across the country. The country continues to remain cautious with a precautionary curfew imposed nationwide, as well as limited in- and out-bound flights and deliveries from the country.
Expect some delivery delays
At teakruthi, we have managed to work with the Sri Lankan government and our logistics partners (FedEx and DHL) to receive an exception to continue limited operations.
However, we ask to expect some delays to receive your teas. Firstly, we continue to operate at reduced capacity to ensure distancing norms. Secondly, our logistics partners continue to operate at reduced flight frequency in and out of Sri Lanka resulting in a slightly longer delivery. EXPRESS shipping option is unavailable during COVID-19.
We apologize in advance for these unforeseen delays and do appreciate your patience. If at any time, after placing your order, you decide you do not wish to wait, please let us know we’ll be happy to cancel it and issue a full refund.
