teakruthi 4kids
Did you know?
- 569m children and young people live on less than US$ 1 a day
- 5.9m children die each year — most in the world's poorest communities and from preventable diseases
- Over 2m children worldwide are sexually exploited. They are forced to have sex in brothels, massage salons, karaoke bars, dance clubs and on the streets
- Global conflicts are forcing 1 in 80 children to flee their homes, risking everything to survive
- 1 in 6 children worldwide are unable to go to school, missing out on critical learning
At teakruthi, we believe a good cuppa tea begins with doing good. Furthermore, we see the greatest potential for good locked within the world's most vulnerable and marginalized children. With each child buried within each statistic above is a lost opportunity to change the world.
Our teakruthi 4kids initiative
Launched in 2020, our teakruthi 4kids initiative is our small attempt at making change. For each dollar spent at teakruthi, we will donate 4% towards fighting child poverty and exploitation around the world through four great charities. We want each cuppa teakruthi to not only be a great cuppa tea, but also help make the world a better place.
In 2020, we raised approximately $3000.00 USD for our causes.
