Pure Ceylon Black tea, Broken Orange Pekoe One (BOP1)
Plain Black teasLoose leaf · From Udu Pussallawa region · Good for Iced tea
This medium grown blend is malty, fresh, slightly tart, and strong. For this Broken Orange Pekoe One (BOP 1) grade tea, we use a wiry, medium-length leaf that provides this blend its malty flavour. The leaves are plucked from our plantations in the small town of Pussallawa in the Kandy District, the ancient capital of Sri Lankan royalty. Pussallawa is situated at 2,000-4,000ft above sea level and is today known for its mid-grown teas recognised for its bright infusion and coppery tone. Although appearing light in the cup (dark gold) Royal Midlands offers strength and body for a flavourful tasting experience.
High caffeine, 45-55mg per cup (6 oz)
